The leaves have just started changing here in Denver, but up in the mountains it's a different story. I am hoping that this weekend we might have a chance to take a drive to the foothills to enjoy all the gorgeous colors of fall. While it will still be a while before the leaves start falling in our neighborhood, some colorful leaves are already falling inside are home thanks to a quick and easy fall leaf garland that I made for our kitchen window. So several years ago when I became aware that you could buy chalkboard paint for your home, I knew that my kids would some day have their very own chalkboard to doodle on! And then I learned about magnetic primer, and well...that sealed the deal! I realize that chalkboard walls are becoming quite common, but I always enjoy seeing how people ... View the Post
{diy with style} Let There be Porch Light
When it comes to our home, I obviously like to make things pretty, but two of our top priorities are always safety and cost-savings. Until recently, however, our front porch was a major fail in both of these areas! We are fortunate to have a small covered porch that shields our front door from the crazy Colorado weather, but the two outdoor lights on the front of the house (to either side of the porch) didn't provide any light near the front door. As a result, our porch was very dark at ... View the Post

As soon as I heard ballerina cupcakes, I immediately envisioned turning an upside down cupcake liner into a tutu - but how to make that work was another issue. At the ... View the Post
