{seasonal style} Christmas in July – DIY, Craft & Decor Ideas for Those that Like to Plan Ahead

  • Facebook
  • Twitter
One of the complaints I hear about holiday craft tutorials is that they are often shared on blogs too close to the actual holiday, not allowing time for you to make your own! And I totally get that! Every year I have the best intentions to get my holiday decorating and crafts done well in advance – not just to share them with you timely, but also to reduce my own stress level! But alas, I generally find myself working down to the wire and can’t always share my projects as early as I would like.
Christmas in July craft and diy projects

I totally admire and envy those of you who start your holiday crafting and gift making months in advance, and if you fit that description, then I hope that today’s Christmas in July round up of my very favorite holiday DIYs, crafts and decor comes at just the right time. But not to worry – if you are more of a last minute crafter like me, then you can simply pin the projects you like now so that you’ll be ready to when the snow starts to fall!

-1- DIY CHRISTMAS TREES – Create textural, DIY Christmas trees so chic no one will believe they are homemade!
-2- GLASS ORNAMENT WINDOW DISPLAY – Whether you need to keep your breakable glass ornaments high up out of the reach of little hands, or are simply looking for a unique way to display your collection, a glass ornament window display is a stylish twist on traditional Christmas decorating.

-3- DIY STOCKING MONOGRAM PINS – Create your own stocking monogram pins to match your holiday decor. All four for my little family cost me only $6 and a few minutes to make.

-4- CANVAS WRAPPED IN CHRISTMAS SONG LYRICS – Last Christmas, I wrapped the large canvas painting in our entryway in paper that I printed with the lyrics to one of my favorite Christmas songs.

-5- HO HO HO LETTERS – I saw shiny, red HO HO HO letters like these at a high end store and created my own DIY version in just five minutes and for much less money!

-6- HOT CHOCOLATE CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT GIFT – Clear ornaments filled with hot chocolate and flavorful mix-ins make a cute and thoughtful Christmas gift for neighbors and coworker, or a perfect hostess gift for those holiday parties. The tutorial includes packaging suggestions, as well as free printable tags.

-7- PAINTED CHRISTMAS TREES – Chalkboard, ombre, and metallic painted Christmas trees make a modern statement.

-8- MAP CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS – These easy map ornaments are a fun way to commemorate your travels and make a perfect gift for the travel lover!

-9- CHALKBOARD COUNTDOWN TO SANTA – Turn any chalkboard into a quick and easy advent calendar!

-10- HOT CHOCOLATE BAR – Keep everything you need to make lots of different variations of hot chocolate right at your finger tips by creating your own hot chocolate bar. The full post includes yummy suggested mix ins and a free printable sign.

-11- CHRISTMAS CARD DISPLAY – I love cute Christmas card displays, but they can look a little bare in those early weeks when only a few cards have arrived. Here’s a super quick way to make your Christmas card display look pretty all season long!

-12- FESTIVE FRONT PORCH – Two quick and colorful updates for a festive front porch.

-13- CHALKBOARD BANNER – My reusable, fabric chalkboard banner is one of my favorite ways to decorate for each holiday!

-14- SNOWFLAKE WINDOW DISPLAY – Let it snow inside with a cute snowflake window display.

-15- BEAUTIFULLY BABY FRIENDLY CHRISTMAS TREE – When it comes to decorating a baby-friendly Christmas tree, there are a lot of don’ts, but it can be harder to figure out what to put on the tree. Read how we made our tree both beautiful and baby-friendly without making it hands-off!
