I used to be so jealous of people who had a mudroom! That is, until we created our own little mudroom space right in our kitchen. And today I'm so excited to show it to you! Get ready, this is a photo heavy post because I just can't get enough of this space. But before we get to all of the pretty pictures, let me remind you where this all began. When we bought our house, we were a bit baffled by the five and a half feet of empty space in the corner of the kitchen. Our ... View the Post

Decorating On the Go with a Paint and Fabric Swatch Kit
There's no telling what I might find in my purse on any given day. With two young kiddos, you'll likely always find a couple of diapers, some fruit snacks, pouches of apple sauce, a pacifier, and maybe a stray sock or two. The musts include my wallet and phone, my makeup bag, and my mini-expanding filer full of coupons and gift cards. Until recently, you were also likely to find bent or torn paint samples and tiny, fraying fabric swatches buried in the depths of my purse. But no longer! ... View the Post
Days of the Week Clothing Organization With Free Printable + More IKEA Organizing
Over the weekend, I had the privilege of presenting an organizing seminar at IKEA Centennial where I shared lots of stylish storage ideas as part of their big IKEA FAMILY event. Today, all of the ideas from Saturday's seminar are right here on the blog, including the new days of the week clothing organization system I created to make mornings with a preschooler run more smoothly. I have just a couple of go to stores when it comes to starting any new organizing project, and IKEA is ... View the Post
6 Quick Ways to Add Color to a Front Porch
Two years ago, when I was nine months pregnant with Cooper, I decided that the one thing I absolutely had to do before he was born was to freshen up our front porch. Imagine me on the porch with my giant belly painting the doorbell... of wait, you don't have to imagine it because I have the photos. The changes we made a couple years really did have a big impact on the front porch, but something was still missing. Our front porch is very tall, so we really needed something to add just a bit of ... View the Post
Charger Cord Organizer with Custom Icon Labels
Technology has become such an essential part of our every day lives that I feel like I'm totally drowning in cords, cables, and chargers lately! The kitchen is the heart of our home, and I typically wind up working at the kitchen table rather than my home office in order to be closer to the kids, so I was desperately in need of a charger cord organizer to contain and organize all of technology in this space. I finally came up with a phone charger organizer that is not only functional, but ... View the Post
Organizing Kids’ Art Supplies with a Rolling Art Cart
Kids and art supplies seem to go hand. Whether they are flexing their creativity over the summer or completing their homework assignments for school, hardly a day goes by without one of my boys sitting at the kitchen table with crayons and markers. A few of years ago, I created an art cart to organize kids' art supplies in our kitchen, and this organizing project has definitely stood the test of time. This week, I’m joining 10 talented bloggers to help you get ready for the new school year. ... View the Post

Letter Photo Display for Mother’s Day
Sometimes projects don't turn out as well as you envision them in your head, but then every once in a while a project turns out even better than you pictured it - and man is that exciting! This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Lennox® for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine. We are having quite the Indian Summer around here, but predictions are that we'll be seeing a snowier than normal winter. I'm trying to enjoy every last 70 degree day while I can before the weather turns cold, but we've already started to prep for the changing seasons. For those of you that live in cold weather climates, today I've got five quick tips to help you get ready, too. BACK OF ... View the Post
How to Organize Spray Paint Cans
Our house has a detached garage, which, as a DIYer, can sometimes pose challenges. Because the garage is unheated and uninsulated, I basically have a spray paint season, and then a long period of months when it's too cold to paint in the garage. And the months of cold weather also make spray paint storage a challenge. A couple of years ago, I added shelves in our utility room to store some of our paint and painting supplies. I did a lot of research to determine if it was safe to store paint ... View the Post
{seasonal style} Mason Jar Jack OLanterns
Ok, folks, I'm finally jumping on board the mason jar band wagon! Over the last year or two, I've seen a lot of mason jar Jack O Lanterns on Pinterest, but they've all had black faces and the light has shown through translucent paint or paper covering the remainder of the jar. I love all of these, but wanted to do something a bit different - so I opted for an opaque paint on the jar with the light shining through the unpainted eyes, nose, and mouth. I decided to take a ... Organizing & Storing Kids’ Artwork
Both of my boys go to preschool two days a week, and they do an art project every day. We also do a lot of art projects at home, so all the creativity was starting to pile up. I used to put all of the art in a basket in our entry way table, but I knew I needed a better long term solution. I have fun long term plans for documenting our boys' art work in books so that we don't have to keep every individual piece of paper. I want to make one book for their toddler/preschool years art, one for ... View the Post
