We are in the home stretch now! Only one more week left until the big reveal of our laundry room and linen closet makeover, which really means we have just a few days to finish everything up in order to allow time to photograph and prepare the reveal post. This is nail biting time, my friends! Will it all get done? I'm feeling optimistic, but there are still a couple projects that I have yet to work out the logistics of, so we'll see! But we did manage to accomplish a lot this week, so ... View the Post

And of course, I'm hoping to save some money by taking advantage of sales and using as many coupons as I can! I love this time of year when every retailer is mailing out coupons and my email inbox is ... View the Post

Rooftop Retreat: Week 1
Over the past decade, we've made a lot of changes to our backyard and it's become a really great space for entertaining and play... but we have another outdoor space - a rooftop deck - that we've been completely ignoring. When we first bought our home, I was so excited about the roof deck. I envisioned Scott and I spending our summer evenings out there entertaining friends and enjoying the mountain views. Fast forward eleven years and two kids, and that deck has become nothing ... View the Post

A couple of weekends ago we invited all of our family, and our friends with kids near Cooper's age, to help us celebrate this milestone birthday with a ... View the Post

Five Minute Friday!
TGIF! I have a big announcement today that I am very excited about! So without further ado, let me introduce you to a new weekly feature on the blog that I am calling Five Minute Friday! I am always working on big projects around our house, whether they be decorating a room or organizing an entire closet. {seasonal style} “Caps For Sale” Halloween Costume + 17 More DIY Costume Ideas
Last year, I showed you some photos of my boys' "Caps for Sale" Halloween costumes a few days after the holiday, but since it was post-Halloween and no longer timely, I didn't share the tutorial at that time. And today, I've joined with some other fabulous bloggers that have created 17 more fantastic DIY costumes for kids ... View the Post

A good shopper knows that with a little patience and perseverance, you can often find a similar item for a much better price. I've always been proud of my skills when it comes to bargain ... {welcome} Here We Go…
Growing up, I was always happiest sitting at the table with crayons or pencils - so much so that, because I didn't have a middle name, I spent a great deal of effort trying to convince my parents to legally change my name to "Angela Artist." Fortunately my parents suggested I wait until I was older to make that decision (by then, of course, I had changed my mind), but they did get me a set of personalized pencils emblazoned with my unofficial "full" name. As a teenager, I spent hours ... View the Post
