Ever since my husband gave me a set of gorgeous white and silver snowflake dishes for Christmas a couple of years ago, I look for any excuse I can find to entertain around the holidays and throughout the winter!
When I was invited to participate in a Christmas table blog hop with some of the most talented bloggers I know, and hosted by the lovely Aniko of Place of My Taste, I was a little intimidated because tablescapes aren’t really my thing, but I was excited to see how my snowflake dishes would look on the table with my new DIY Christmas tree centerpiece, so I decided to give it a go.

I am really loving the scale of my new centerpiece – I think it gives the table the height that it’s always been missing! And the pops of red really liven things up!
The table is really all about the snowflake dishes! They are Threshold brand from Target, and after carrying them for several years, it appears that, sadly, they have officially been discontinued. But if you love this look, you can find similar dishes at Macy’s {affiliate links}.
When I first set the table with my light teal table cloth, it just felt unfinished. So when my friends at Tempaper Designs reached out to ask if I needed removable wallpaper for my holiday decor, I jumped at the chance to create a non-conventional table runner!
If Tempaper Designs sounds familiar, that’s because they sponsored my recent laundry closet makeover. I used their gorgeous textured white brick temporary wallpaper to give our laundry and linen closet a brand new, sophisticated look! This time around, I used a 100″ strip of Tempaper’s L’Amour black and white wallpaper as a modern and graphic table runner. The bold black brushstrokes appeal to my love of abstract art and tie in perfectly with our black dining chairs!
This may be my favorite view of our Christmas table! I love the way the red and white snowflakes in our long thin kitchen window appear to be falling right onto my forest of brightly colored Christmas trees!
And since no dinner party would be complete without a good glass of wine, I set out one of my favorite bottles {which we brought home from our honeymoon in Santorini, Greece}. That snowflake the bottle is sitting on is actually a pillar candle holder, but it works perfectly for keeping drips of wine off of my tablecloth!
Now the only question is, what’s for dinner?!
