I don't do a lot of shopping right after the holidays, but I always try to hit a few of my favorite stores for clearance wrapping paper, ribbons, and bows to restock for the next year. I especially like choosing wrapping paper with non-traditional Christmas colors and classic patterns, like polka dots, stripes and plaids, that are versatile enough to be used for birthdays and other holidays as well. This also makes this the perfect time to think about how to organize gift wrap ... View the Post

The Ultimate Target-Themed Birthday Party
Target is my happy place! When I was in law school and stressed about papers and exams, strolling around Target (even when I had no money to shop) was like my own personal form of therapy. Years later, as a new mom, people would advise me to sleep when the baby slept... but instead I often preferred to push a sleeping baby around Target in a stroller. If you can relate to any of this, then let me introduce you to Cassondra Selby. She has officially earned the title of Coolest Mom by ... View the Post

Christmas Crafting Made Easy at ConsumerCrafts.com
Ok, so you've seen that graphic making the rounds on Facebook that shows how women shop versus how men shop, right? Men go in the door, get the one thing they came for, and then leave. Women on the other hand go up and down every aisle {two, or three, or four times}. Yeah, that's definitely me in a craft store! I need to be able to browse, see allĀ of my options, and consider what items might work well together to create the perfect project. I put things in my cart and take them back out, ... View the Post
The BEST Products to Help You Get Organized & Stay Organized
A few months ago I shared my 10 Steps to Get Organized & Stay Organized, and it prompted a lot of questions from readers. You all wanted to know where I like to shop for organizing products and which are my favorite products. So today I've put together a list of my go-to organizing products! This list certainly doesn't cover every bin, basket or container I've used in our house, but these are my favorite products - the ones I always think of first when I get ready to organize a new ... Game Room Makeover: Week 6 {One Room Challenge}
In the past, the One Room Challenge has been a six week event... thank goodness it was extended to an 8 week event this summer, because I'm going to need every minute of the next two weeks to pull this one off! If you've been following my Instagram Stories, then you know that I'm working on making the cushions for our banquette seating, but in this weeks progress post I want to show you what we've accomplished at the other end of the room. Our Plans for the Ultimate Game Room If your ... View the Post
Pretty Pantry Labels Three Ways + FREE PRINTABLE LABELS
Last week I shared my five steps for creating an organized and pretty pantry, and I gave you a tour of our pantry space. Over a year after first completing our pantry makeover, the space is functioning just as well today as it did on day one - and I believe we have the labels to thank for that! Without labels, our pantry would just be a sea of matching white bins. I would have a pretty good idea of what goes where, since I organized it to start with, but imagine my poor kids and husband! They ... View the Post
Organizing Kids Toys with Labels that Are Easy to Update
Raise your hand if you love to label ALL. THE. THINGS? Me too! Labeling is one of the most important steps in the process of creating an organized space, because it makes it easy for everyone in the family to find what they need, and makes it much easier to put everything away where it belongs. But not all labels are created equal. A label is only good if it's accurate, so it's important to make labels easy to update for those spots in the house where the contents are likely to change ... {swap it like it’s hot} From Thrift Store to Champagne & Diamonds
Are your ready to Swap It Like It's Hot?! Here's how it works... bloggers sign up on a list, and then each goes shopping at local thrift stores to purchase one or several items {with a max budget of $10-15} to mail to the person below them on the list {that's the SWAP part}. Each blogger is then challenged to come up with creative ways to repurpose whatever treasures she receives in the mail {that's the HOT part}. This slightly crazy but super fun, twice-annual event is hosted by ... View the Post
{organizing with style} Project Paint Storage and a Free Printable
To say we have a lot of latex paint might be an understatement! When we bought our home, the builder left us a touch up kit with 2 quarts of each color of paint used throughout the house (including the original wall colors, the trim, ceilings, and closet interior paints). Additionally, we have since repainted many of the rooms in the house, resulting in a lot more leftover paint (and in the case of the ombre stripes in the nursery we used five different colors). Until a few weeks ... View the Post
