I just wanted to say that you don't have to create 'the perfect room' at the expense of something the children love, just because this is one room challenge. I don't mean this to sound judgmental at all, go for what suits you. But if the chair suits your life right now, even if only for the next 6months, keep the chair. I'm all for children growing up and transferring to the bunk beds is the right idea but father/son time is not something to try to transition out of ?
Angela, Blue i Style says
I agree, which is why were not transitioning out of it! We're moving the chair to another room so the kids can have both of the things that they're asking for… The bunk beds (which was their request, not something I would have chosen) and the chair in a room where they can still enjoy alone time. I would never attempt to create the perfect room at the expense of the kids, and if you've followed my blog for the past four years you would know that I define my style as Modern Graphic Family and that family is always the top priority in all of my design decisions. The reason for moving the chair isn't a matter of trying to perfect the design… It's a matter of space in a small room. As I said, if the elliptical has to go in the guest room to make room for the chair, that's what we'll do, because the chair and the father/son time come first!

Oh goodness, I can barely keep up with one nursery – and here you are tackling two rooms! So sweet about Cooper and the rocking chair – how could you possibly get rid of it after that? Just look at those two… so sweet!
